The Transition Committee Chairman, Ohafia LGA Hon. Chief Mba Ukaha has called on youths of Ohafia LGA to peacefully exercise their cultural rites as communities are set to observe Ekpe Iriji.
Hon. Ukaha gave this advice when inaugurating the OHAFIA LGA Peace and Conflict Resolution Committee (PCRC) at the local government area Secretariat.
In his statement, he said that "the ceremony is an age-long festival of our people which is not meant to intimidate anybody or settle old scores", urging them to celebrate in an atmosphere of peace and decorum as security agencies will be patrolling to make sure that there is no atom of violence in the community.
He therefore admonished non-indigene to go about their legitimate business without any fear of molestation.
